Frequently Asked Questions
What do you do?
We create highly customized treatment plans for each patient in order to help them solve their IBS. IBS is a very broad label that covers numerous symptoms and many causes. We do the detective work and use our vast clinic experience helping people with IBS to narrow down a treatment plan specific to you. That’s why we have so much success with our patients.
How are you different than my doctor?
Your other doctors are focused on ruling out other conditions and doing a colonoscopy. And they have very limited experience with IBS. Ruling out other things is valuable, but it will not solve your IBS. We specialize only in IBS, which allows us to start with IBS and work from there to solve it. No one else can say that.
Do you have a clinic near me?
The good news is that because we work with patients via telemedicine and zoom, we can and do provide care to IBS patients everywhere. That saves you from having to travel or leave the comfort of your own home. We have been successfully helping patients this way for over 15 years. It is not new for us.
Do you take insurance?
We are responsible to patients, not insurance companies. Our job is to make sure that we get the best outcome possible for our patients. In order to provide the best care possible, we do not contract with insurance companies. We will provide you with the paperwork necessary to submit to your insurance company, and they will reimburse you directly based on your policy
Do you treat my condition?
IBS is a very broad umbrella. It includes abdominal pain, all forms of diarrhea, constipation, gas, and bloating. Many patients have other digestive problems as well, and many have variations that aren’t termed diarrhea or constipation, but fall somewhere in between those two extremes. We understand and we work with all of those patients. IBS is just a label. We work with real people, not labels.
What is your success rate?
We are very proud of our long history of success helping IBS patients. We fully expect that the vast majority of our patients will get better, because that is what they’ve experienced over the past 17 years. We aren’t perfect, but we’re very good. And we get far better results than what most doctors expect to get for this condition.
What is the cost?
For more information about what we do and how much it will cost, we recommend that you watch our video by our founder, Dr. Stephen Wangen. He goes into great detail on this.
Do you have a payment program?
In order to make our care accessible and affordable for just about everyone, we work with Care Credit to provide our patients payment plan options. Please contact us for more information.
